John has a long career in photojournalism both in the UK and abroad, which began at a London based newspaper group before turning freelance. His first major venture was covering the Romanian revolution during Ceausescu’s downfall, after which, a book was published with a forward by Olivia Harrison. John also travelled to Bosnia during the war with the combined services medical corps and similarly to Iraq. John has been published in The Independent, The Guardian, The Times, The Irish Independent, Le Monde, Newsweek and numerous magazines and publications, most recently Grazia uk, Elle Magazine and the prestigious German broadsheets, Die Zeit and der Freitag. He was recently included in the ‘Portrait of Humanity Awards’ and last year exhibited in the British Library at their 500 years of media exhibition.
John also works in corporate photography with clients such as, the BBC, Netflix, The NHS, The Royal College of Nursing, UNISON, and many more.
